A bold red lip is a classic and nothing is more on trend right now than a bold brow. Combine the two and you are looking at one wearable beauty look.
The great thing is, this look is super simple to replicate. Make sure to start with a clean, clear base. If you are blessed with the skin of a baby angel you are good to go, otherwise for us mere mortals a dab of concealer, a slick of foundation and a subtle dusting of blush will set you up. Remember to keep your base simple (no need to contour like a Kardashian here) as we want the brows and lips to be the heroes.
Now you are ready for the finishing touches. The supremely talented makeup artist behind this look, Lilah Deguitre shares her secrets:
Brows: For this look I used a brow crayon (MAC eyebrow crayon in Fling) but you can use any brow product that works for you. If you are using a crayon draw in small, feathery strokes for a more natural look. If you comb your brows, brush them up not across, its more modern.

- As of this review date, MAC Fling retails for $17 USD. This shade is meant for blondes, and it's a very good neutral color that is slightly ash. It's not too greenish or grey, but definitely. About reviewer (825.
Eyes: I used a simple wash of nude shadow and lots of black mascara. We want to give the eyes definition but not let them steal the show.
Fling Mac Eyebrow Pencil Holder
The artist's pencil of perfection. Highly pigmented formula gives immediate precise application, while the rich powdery texture gives a matte and velvety payoff. Features a high degree of temperature stability, making it ideal for warmer climates. Comes with a spoolie at one end to give you a perfectly groomed, finished look. This MAC brow tint fuses the power of a liquid brow pen and powder into a dual-ended product designed to define and set brows with ease. Fill brows effortlessly using the precision brush-tipped, liquid eyebrow pen liner on one end, then flip to the sponge on the other end to set your shape with the mess-free powder contained in the cap.
Lips: To make this red lip last I used a liner first followed by a lipstick. Line and fill in the lips (I used Ben Nye lip colour pencil in Cherry Pop) and then cover with a matt lipstick (I used MAC in Ruby Woo). Applying your lipstick with a lip brush allows for more precision.

Well hello again Mr Draft Post I’d forgotten about. I bought this eyebrow pencil back in August when I was on the hunt for a shade that would work with my blonde hair without making me look like Madonna circa 1990. I went everywhere and this was the best I found. I was hoping to strike it rich and the drugstore but unfortunately it wasn’t meant to be so I ended up at MAC spending considerably more than I’d intended. When I mentioned that I’d bought this in a video the purchase met mixed reviews.. some said it was amazing and others said it would break easily and run out quickly.. but how did it work for me?
I’d say it lasted about a month give or take and I used it fairly lightly given that it wasn’t something I wanted to repurchase soon but a month for a pencil of any kind is pretty poor, especially when you’ve spent £12.50. Saying that I did really like it, I was looking for the right shade that wasn’t too waxy and allowed me to be heavy handed without it looking overdone and that’s exactly what it did. Even when I did overdo it a little it looked natural and unlike the super waxy pencils it never looked streaky.. I hate that! It’s almost like powder in a precision pencil and for me it’s the ultimate eyebrow definer but I can’t justify spending £150 a year on my eyebrows when a powder palette for less than £10 could last me the same amount of time.
My brows are sparse and a dark ash blonde colour, they allow me to switch my hair colour from very light to very dark but I often lust after the super strong brows of others that need a swipe of brow set or wax to keep them in place and they’re good to go. I have to draw mine on every day and it’s a chore so anything that makes the job easier is welcome and I will no doubt by this again it’s just not going to be a regular repurchase.
